Fighting any addiction is a lifelong struggle. First and foremost be proud of your ability to say no! Everyday you say no to the one thing you want more than anything else. That makes you powerful not weak. Weak people can’t say no to anything let alone the a vice they desire above all others. In Japanese culture: “Nana korobi ya oki” (literally means: seven falls, eight getting up). This speaks to the Japanese concept of resilience. You always stand back up! No matter how many times you stumble, you get back up. Fall ten times, stand up eleven. Fall fifty times, get up fifty one. Anyone fighting addiction understands there are no quick fixes or overnight successes. It is a lifelong battle that is won each and every day. Persevere, stay strong, and just say no! 頑張る
