In an effort to eliminate or numb their pain addicts will seek a chemical solution. That momentary bliss can quickly turn into an all consuming addiction. When that happens the pain is worse than before. Nothing about recovery is easy, but you can make it easier by first learning to give your problem to God. God still loves you and wants to help you. Addiction is about self, recovery is about God. Putting yourself above God just gives your addiction control over your life. Those in early recovery have low self esteem, feel loneliness, and experience excessive boredom. God can handle these issues and so much more. You’ve tried everything else, so this Easter weekend consider a spiritual solution to your chemical problem.
