Former USC head football coach Steve Sarkisian was fired on Monday and will enter rehab for alcohol abuse. This was after USC athletic director made a statement on Sunday that Sarkisian would be put on indefinite leave but was fine. Sarkisian’s issues with alcohol are not a surprise. It was evident prior to his hiring and during the season so far. What actions led up to the firing and was it properly justified?
We wish him the best on his recovery and we hope he is able to pick up the pieces of his career as well. For all who have battled addiction, it’s a journey that begins with saying NO, one day at a time.
