According to a study by researchers at the College of Natural Sciences in Austin, Texas people who are socially isolated may be more prone to develop an addiction to drugs or alcohol. We are designed to connect and interact with others. When left in social isolation the risks of addiction increase. We end up bonding with a type of addiction instead of bonding with other people. Reach out to friends and family today who seem lonely or distant. It may save them from an addiction.
