Everyday I hear from people all over the country who tell me I don’t have an addiction problem. “I don’t smoke, drink, or due drugs” they often say. The stigma of the word addiction blinds them so much that they don’t even realize they’re addicts. Forty million customers each day go to Starbucks to get their caffeine or sugar fix. Internet addiction is soaring. Invest in medical companies that treat early stage arthritis, it will be huge. I have a friend that’s 70lbs overweight. He’s a food addict, plain and simple. Could his food addiction reduce his longevity. Yes! Is it disrupting his life? Absolutely. Poor sleep, anti depressants, marital strife, are just a few of the negative side effects of his obesity. We are all addicted to something or someone. Only when the masses finally begin to realize this will the stigma of the word addiction be defeated. Stay Strong, Get Help, and Just Say No!
