It’s easy to get discouraged on your journey of recovery. We all do. Expecting instant results will only lead to relapse and disappointment. Change and self improvement develop slowly. Think of your journey as a marathon, not a sprint. You will have struggles and setbacks, but view them as temporary and insignificant. Remember how far you’ve come, not just how far you still have to go. Everyday you will get a little stronger, happier, and healthier. To win the race of recovery you need think like the turtle not the hare. Stay strong and just say no!
